Dear Friends,
It's summer. Good time to replenish energy, reconnect with vision, and revitalize our strategies for deep social change.
There are important links between deep change at the personal, organizational and community levels. Deep change requires willingness to journey into unknown territory. It requires a capacity to view our work in a bigger picture context, to shift perspectives and see expanding possibilities in ourselves, in each other and in our work as a team.
These are especially tough economic times. On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate your results, relative to your vision? How would you rate your personal and organizational vitality?
Results are certainly a good measure of our work. However, as Robert E. Quinn explains (in his excellent book Deep Change) our vitality is also a good barometer of how we are doing. When vitality wanes, stress increases, our focus narrows, and we tend to double up our commitment to existing strategies.
Adhering to what we already know how to do is the opposite flow of energy from expanding possibilities.
If the time is ripe for your program team to achieve greater clarity, or to boost your vitality and innovation, be in touch: possibilities@SEEDimpact.org.

Voices from the field:
"A great team-building experience that offers an opportunity to step back and consider the program from a different angle."

"The Six-Month Stretch we did with SEED was a learning process about how something can evolve when you can stay on it and be intentional. Using the expect/like/love success markers to build it slowly after our staff retreat, I learned how to set goals in a different way that I haven’t before."
