Touching Soul – Igniting Brilliance

What do we do?  seedimpact is a pioneer in the use of dialogue and guided group processes to activate the creative potential in diverse teams.  At modest expense and in very short time, SEED-guided teams frequently are able to derive break-through ideas, as well as strategies for breathing life and passion into their collaboration.  Applying SEED technologies on a daily basis, groups find themselves functioning with more creative energy, focused on visions of what they intend to create, and thinking differently about scale and how to achieve broad impact.

Think for a moment of an organization you know that is doing something about poverty.  These are the groups we especially want to fortify with SEED technologies.  (We welcome your ideas and referrals to promising groups!)  Why do we care about the creative potential of diverse teams addressing poverty? TELL ME

What About the Who

Consider this paradigm shift.  Given the interconnections of complex systems, services and communities affected by and influencing poverty, a key element to successful interventions is the “who.”  Since resistance is the norm in any change process, it’s extremely important to maximize the numbers and types of participants who may become active supporters of a venture.

Who is convened around your problem-solving table? PEOPLE ARE THE SEEDS

Exemplary Client

SEED is especially focused to apply its five-stage capacity-building model within complex, multi-site systems that touch the lives of thousands of families.  For example, our four-person core consulting team is guiding 25 senior staff (including the Director) of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Community Health and Prevention through a series of trainings to plant the SEED technologies for their ongoing self-guided use.

So far, the Division leaders have received training in some simple and powerful practices for improving channels of communication and cultivating a culture for co-creativity in which everyone’s talent is more fully tapped.  Indeed, an informal poll at the end of three sessions surfaced near universal enthusiasm, optimism and commitment to system-wide dissemination of SEED practices.

Anticipated long-term outcomes for the Division include more effective collaboration across its 14 bureaus, enhanced interactions and relationships with hundreds of providers and community groups that the Division funds, new insights about large scale program design, improved service delivery, and expanded reach and impact to children and families throughout Illinois.  CASE IN POINT
